This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) describes how ParkView Cam Inc. (“ParkView,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) collects, uses, and shares information about you when you access or use our websites, mobile applications, analytics portals, and related services (collectively, the “Services”). By accessing or using our Services, you agree to the practices described in this Policy.
1. Overview
We respect your privacy. This Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how it may be shared, and the choices available to you. We aim to be transparent and protective of personal information. If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not access or use the Services.
2. Information We Collect
We may collect the following categories of information:
a. Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your email address and account credentials. Providing a name is optional. Passwords are hashed and salted and are not stored in plaintext.
b. Technical and Usage Information
We may collect technical and usage information necessary to operate, secure, and improve the Services. This may include IP address, device identifiers (including cookies), browser type and version, operating system, screen resolution, referring URLs, clickstream data, app interactions, diagnostic and performance data, log files, and approximate geolocation derived from IP address. We collect only the minimum technical data required for these purposes and update this Policy if our practices materially change.
c. Video Streaming and Recordings
The Services include real-time video streams from public and private locations. By default, ParkView provides live streams only and does not continuously record video. In limited circumstances, such as at certain private or partner-operated facilities, recording may be enabled. Where recording is enabled, recordings are accessible through a third-party streaming provider and are retained for no longer than ninety-six (96) hours. Visible “Video Recording Active” notices are displayed on stream pages where recording may occur, and recording practices are disclosed contractually to hosting partners.
d. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication, security, analytics, and advertising. Advertising is intended to be delivered in a contextual or non-personalized manner where possible. We do not knowingly engage in behavioral profiling or cross-site ad targeting. Cookie usage and tracking may depend on user consent, browser settings, device signals, and applicable law. We provide users with tools to manage cookie preferences and honor opt-out requests through consent mechanisms where supported. Disabling cookies may affect certain functionality of the Services.
e. Automated Usage Analytics and People Counting
ParkView may use automated computer vision and machine-learning technologies to analyze live video streams for the limited purpose of estimating the number of people present within a camera’s field of view at a given time. This processing is designed to generate aggregate counts only and does not identify individuals, recognize faces, create biometric identifiers, or track individuals across time or locations.
In connection with developing, training, and improving these systems, ParkView may temporarily process or store limited video frames or image thumbnails derived from live streams. Such materials are used solely for technical development and quality improvement of people-counting functionality, are not used to identify individuals, are not linked to user accounts or personal identifiers, and are retained only for a limited period consistent with operational needs.
The resulting people-count data is used for operational insights, park utilization analysis, safety and staffing planning, infrastructure planning, funding justification, and aggregated reporting to municipal or facility partners.
3. How We Use Information
We use information to operate and maintain the Services, create and manage accounts, secure systems, improve performance and user experience, diagnose technical issues, comply with legal obligations, deliver advertising in accordance with user preferences and applicable law, and communicate service-related messages, policy updates, and newsletters where users have opted in.
4. Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell personal information. We may share information with service providers that perform services on our behalf, including cloud hosting providers, streaming platforms, email delivery services, analytics providers, artificial intelligence service providers, and advertising platforms.
We may share anonymized or aggregated information with municipal, governmental, or private partners for utilization analysis, planning, reporting, infrastructure decision-making, and funding-related purposes.
Access to aggregated analytics through ParkView’s partner or municipal portals is restricted to authorized users and provided on a read-only basis. Such data is made available solely in aggregate form and does not permit identification of individuals. Municipal and facility partners are contractually restricted from attempting to re-identify individuals or using the data for surveillance, law enforcement, enforcement actions, or individual profiling.
Advertising partners, including Google advertising services, may receive limited technical information necessary to deliver ads in accordance with user preferences and applicable law. We may also disclose information where required by law or in connection with a corporate transaction such as a merger, acquisition, or asset sale.
5. Data Retention
Account information is retained until you request deletion of your account. Aggregated or anonymized analytics and people-count data may be retained for internal trend analysis and reporting. Video recordings, where enabled, are automatically deleted after ninety-six (96) hours unless a longer period is contractually required. Video frames or thumbnails processed for automated analytics and model development are retained only for a limited period consistent with technical and operational needs. Communications and support correspondence may be retained for audit, compliance, and customer support purposes for a commercially reasonable period unless deletion is requested.
6. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information, opt out of certain data uses, and manage cookie and advertising preferences. We provide mechanisms to exercise these choices through consent tools and request channels. Support for Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals is being implemented where supported. Requests regarding personal data or privacy rights should be submitted to privacy@joinparkview.com.
7. Global Access & Legal Jurisdiction
ParkView is based in St. Petersburg, Florida, United States. The Services may be accessed globally, but they are not localized or tailored to specific countries or languages. Information may be transferred to and processed in the United States in accordance with applicable U.S. law.
8. Children’s Privacy (COPPA)
